About us: Always There for Texas, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit corporation, is dedicated to serving our Volunteer Fire Departments, Volunteer Firemen, and other First Responders through raising public awareness of these community based organizations and their need for public support and financial assistance. We raise funds on behalf of Texas first responders, while promoting the rich heritage of Texas through live music and other cultural events. Our mission is to be "always there" for Texas first responders, helping them to be well-trained, equipped and in a state of readiness when the next emergency call comes in. This "Tribute to a Firefighter" event was inspired to help the families of the local Bryan firefighters who lost their lives and were injured in February 2013, but has now been extended to also support the first responders affected by the explosion in West, Texas in March 2013. Recent events across the nation and state serve to remind the community of the need to support our first responders and their families in these times of tragedy and to continue to support them well after these events disappear from the headlines.

Our Work:
We work together to make our cause known, and to reach out to other groups and individuals who share our vision. It is important that we are "always there" for our first responders. Indeed, we need our first responders to be well trained, equipped and "always there" for us in our hour of need. Please join us in this worthy cause.
State funding for supporting Texas Volunteer Fire Departments were cut 75%, from $30 million to just $7 million just prior to the 2011 wildfire season. To date these funds have not been reinstated. We need your support in assisting our Texas first responders. Many small volunteer fire departments are in dire need of assistance from individual donors. Please join us in supporting these local heroes, our Texas first responders.
